BFL#83 Members Attend Combined Table Lodge with Prince Hall and G.L.of WI by WM Paul GordonOn March 31st four members of BFL#83 attended the annual combined Table Lodge with the Prince Hall of Wisconsin Grand Lodge and the Grand Lodge of Wisconsin. Almost 300 Freemasons from all across Wisconsin were at the sold out event at the Prince Hall banquet room in Milwaukee. Brothers Dan Slavik, Pat Storrs, Brendan Connelly and Paul Gordon enjoyed the event, renewing acquaintances and making new friends in Masonry. Several Brothers expressed their interest in the Emulation Ritual, and complimented the workings of BFL#83. The Table Lodge was opened in the EA Degree by Prince Hall Ashlar Lodge #8. The ceremony of the 7 Toasts followed, with Brother Connelly serving as a table Steward. The resplendent ring of cannon fire retorted loudly after each toast! The Sojourners, consisting of Masonic Veterans, presented the Prince Hall Grand Lodge with a quality framed print of African American solders in a Revolutionary War battle scene. Grand Masters Craig Campbell and John Humphreys each gave their remarks on the Fraternity and the relations between the two Grand and constituent Lodges. The Brethren enjoyed a wonderful meal and continued camaraderie after the Table Lodge was formally closed. By Robert Blackburn at 10 Apr 2010 - 6:36am | login to post comments
